MLA Haveli Ajaz Ahmed Jan Initiates Developmental Works

Poonch: MLA Haveli, Ajaz Ahmed Jan, today laid the foundation stone for the long-awaited upgradation work of the link road from Park to Mohalla Kallar via Masjid Shareef.

The project, estimated at ₹97 lakh, has been a major demand of the local population for many years and is expected to significantly improve connectivity in the area.

Despite severe cold conditions and snow-covered ground, the MLA personally visited Fatehpur village, where he received a grand and heartfelt welcome from a large gathering of residents. People greeted their representative with slogans and garlands, reflecting strong public enthusiasm and deep faith in his leadership.

A formal programme was organized at Government High School, Fatehpur, where several respected citizens and community representatives spoke on the occasion.

Master Akhter, former Sarpanch, appreciated the MLA’s dedication and said the road project will greatly benefit students, farmers, and daily commuters.

Retired SSP Altaf Shah praised the developmental push and highlighted how improved connectivity strengthens both public convenience and overall security management.

Ishtiaq Kirmani expressed gratitude for the project, saying the long-pending demand has finally been addressed due to the MLA’s sincere efforts.

Rafiq Raishi said the road will ease transportation problems and improve access to essential services for residents of surrounding localities.

Mubashar Banday appreciated the MLA’s personal visit in harsh weather, calling it a true reflection of committed and people-centric leadership.

Abdul Ghani Inqalabi said the project will boost development and reduce hardships faced by villagers, especially during winter and emergencies.

Parvinder Singh termed the project historic and said it will open new opportunities for trade, education, and healthcare access.

Kuljeet Singh thanked the MLA for fulfilling a long-awaited demand and for prioritising neglected and far-flung regions.

The AEE assured quality execution and committed that the department would complete the work within the stipulated timeframe.

Javid Khan thanked the MLA for consistent support and said the improved road will benefit youth, traders, and schoolchildren.

Matlab Sahib appreciated the initiative, saying such projects reflect commitment to balanced growth across all communities.

Ashraf, a respected ex-serviceman, said better roads are vital for border areas and appreciated the MLA’s focus on strategic needs.

Haji Sakhi expressed happiness and said the road will reduce travel difficulties for elderly residents and patients.

Mistry Saif Din welcomed the initiative, saying improved connectivity will support local workers and speed up future development.

Aslam Raishi said the MLA has once again proven his dedication to public welfare through long-overdue infrastructure improvements.

Molvi Hafiz Sahib appreciated the efforts and prayed for continued progress, saying development brings stability and prosperity.

Molvi Salim Sahib thanked the MLA, saying the project fulfils a genuine public demand pending for years.

Ghulam Ahmed Mir said the road reflects responsive leadership and will greatly improve mobility for area residents.

Khalid Kirmani praised the MLA’s commitment, saying such development strengthens public trust and accelerates rural progress.

Sajad Kirmani expressed gratitude and said that improved infrastructure will create better opportunities for youth and small businesses.

Abdul Razak also spoke on the occasion and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the MLA for initiating the long-awaited road project, stating that it will greatly benefit local residents, improve daily mobility, and bring much-needed development to the area.

Aslam, a local transporter, said the upgraded road will reduce vehicle damage, save time, and improve transport services.

Stage Secretary Sarfraz conducted the proceedings and thanked attendees, highlighting strong participation despite the severe cold weather.

Sayed Anayat Bukhari appreciated the MLA’s leadership and stressed that infrastructure development is vital for long-term regional progress.

Former Sarpanch Aslam Malik thanked the MLA and said the project is a major relief for residents facing years of neglect.

While addressing the gathering, Ajaz Ahmed Jan appreciated the public for turning up in large numbers despite the harsh weather.

He said, “I have come here to fulfil my promise. Development work will continue, and the needs of the people will always remain my top priority.”

He reiterated his commitment to equitable development and assured that more projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure in rural and border areas are in the pipeline.DD
