MLAs nomination case fixed for final hearing on Feb 6 by JK High court.

Jammu:TDD,The case regarding the nomination of five MLAs has been today fixed for Feb 6, 2025 for final hearing in J&K High Court.
The case filed by Ravinder Sharma Ex MLC was taken up today by the Division bench of J&K high court Justice Sanjeev Kumar and Justice Rajesh Sekhri today afternoon.
Senior Supreme court Lawyer Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi appearing for the petitioner submitted that no reply has been filed so far from opposite side.
Upon this the bench queried,if the same is required as the question of law only is involved.on this the senior counsel for the respondents Tushar Mehta said that they want to file short reply. The court then gave time of four weeks to respondents to file the counter affidavit . Rejoinder if any,after that.The parties we’re directed to complete pleadings before 6th Feb,when the case will be finally heard.
While both Dr Sighvi and Tushar Mehta appeared on vitual mode, DK Khajuria & S M Chaudhary along with Adv Anuj Mahajan and Aayush Pangotra also appeared for the petitioner Ravinder Sharma Chief Spokesperson of J&K Congress,while Vishal Sharma ASGI appeared on respondent side,physically in the court.The petitioner Ravinder Sharma was also present personally in the court during proceedings of the case.TDD
