Arun Jasrotia

Ramnagar :-TDD, The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Ramnagar Rajinder Singh (JKAS) has issued a circular banning the use of mobile phones in schools within the sub-division. The order comes in response to concerns about distractions, potential cyberbullying, and disruptions to school discipline caused by mobile phone usage.

The circular states that both students and teachers are prohibited from using mobile phones on school premises. In case of emergencies, the official phone of the head of the institution/school can be used.

The decision was taken after random inspections revealed students and even teachers using mobile phones in classrooms during school hours. Some students were also found accessing prohibited or banned websites on their phones.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring the safety and well-being of students. The ban aims to create a conducive learning environment and prevent negative impacts on academic achievement.

The circular has been issued to all schools in the Ramnagar sub-division, including ZEOs, Principals, Headmasters, and Incharges. They have been directed to implement the ban and take necessary action to ensure compliance,TDD
