Moses Kunzang reviews Sports Infrastructure Projects in Leh

Leh: Moses Kunzang, Administrative Secretary, Department of Youth Services and Sports (YS&S), today undertook an extensive tour of several ongoing sports infrastructure projects in and around Leh being executed under the Special Development Programme (SDP).

During the visit, Kunzang inspected the construction of the tennis court at Government Polytechnic College, Leh, construction of squash court at Solar Colony, and the futsal court being developed at Spituk, Leh. He also visited Chuchot Gongma to review the progress of the mini indoor stadium.

At each site, the Administrative Secretary interacted with engineers, executing agencies, and departmental officials to assess the pace and quality of work.

He reviewed technical details, examined on-ground progress, and sought updates on timelines for completion.

Emphasizing the importance of timely execution, Kunzang directed the concerned agencies to adhere strictly to quality standards and ensure that the facilities are completed within the stipulated time frame.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to strengthening sports infrastructure in the Union Territory, Kunzang noted that these projects will play a significant role in promoting sports culture among youth and providing modern training facilities at the grassroots level. He reiterated that the Department of Youth Services and Sports remains focused on creating inclusive, accessible, and sustainable sports infrastructure across Ladakh.DD
