Jammu, (DD):The Health Minister, Sakina Itoo, has ruled out disease as the cause of the unexplained deaths in Budhal, Rajouri, where over a dozen fatalities have been reported since December 2024, including three recent cases.
Speaking on the alarming situation, the minister confirmed that medical tests on the deceased and those who fell ill showed no signs of any disease. “This is a matter of grave concern, and a detailed probe is crucial to identify the underlying cause and address public fears,” she stated.
The mysterious nature of the deaths has left the community on edge, with residents demanding swift action and answers. “While it’s a relief that no disease has been found, we still need clarity on what is happening,” said a local villager.
Authorities are expected to step up investigations in the coming days to determine the root cause and bring relief to the affected community.(DD)
