Jammu, DD: In a bid to combat the scourge of drug today launched a unique Antidrug Rally led by Gurmeet Singh-JKPS, SDPO R S Pura along with SHO Bishnah inspector Sushil Choudhary Huge gathering of people including sarpanch village Laswara Numberdar,senior villagers, women folk as well as large number of Children participated enthusiastically in the Rally. The Rally begins at main road Laswara giving strong Antidrug message & finally culminated at Laswara, Makhanpur.Participants especially Children were enthusiastically raising slogans.Participants also take oath that they will never use drugs and will fully cooperate with Police in curbing drug abuse.Besides, few senior citizens who never used drugs and alcohol in their life, were also honored by Special Antidrug Momentos from District Police Jammu in recognition of their non-use of drugs and alcohol. The main motive of this is to projecting these Citizens as Role Models against Drug Abuse in the society.This groundbreaking campaign aims to educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse. The initiative capitalises on ensuring the anti-drug message reaches a broad audience & stressed to steer clear of drugs and alcohol and maintain a drug-free lifestyle.The campaign seeks to foster enduring awareness about the issue of drug abuse. It also serves as a constant reminder to the individuals, reinforcing the importance of staying away from illicit substances.This innovative anti-drug awareness campaign reflects the Jammu Police’s commitment in tackling drug abuse and safeguarding the well-being of the community. Through collaborative efforts and innovative approaches, aim is to create a safer and drug-free environment for all residents. Before campaign for Rally a meeting has been also held at Numberdar Laswara residence for listening their grievances. This Antidrug Campaign intiative launched by District Police Jammu under Civic Action Provramme(CAP) will continue in other parts of the District especially Drug hotspots. DD
