Nation Mourns Bravehearts: Indian Army Pays Tribute to Kishtwar Martyrs

JAMMU :TDD, The Indian Army paid solemn tributes to two brave soldiers who lost their lives during a militant encounter in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir. A wreath-laying ceremony was held on Saturday at the Technical Air Force Station in Jammu to honor their sacrifice.
The fallen heroes were identified as Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar from Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir and Rifleman Arvind Singh from Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh

Both soldiers were part of a joint operation conducted by the Army and police in the Naidgham area of Chhatroo. During the encounter, they sustained injuries and were airlifted to an Army hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, they succumbed to their wounds. Two other soldiers were also injured in the operation but survived.
In response to the incident, security forces have intensified their search operation and deployed additional personnel to the area to continue anti-terror efforts.
The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to honor the fallen soldiers. They posted: “In a solemn wreath-laying ceremony, GOC White Knight Corps laid a wreath to pay homage to Bravehearts Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Rifleman Arvind Singh who made the supreme sacrifice in the highest traditions of Indian Army. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.”
This incident underscores the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in the region and the bravery of those who risk their lives to maintain peace and security. The Indian Army remains committed to its mission, even in the face of such tragic losses.TDD
