Leh: DD, The 15 days Sowa-Rigpa Exhibition and free medical camp organized by the National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh at Maha Kumbh 2025, Prayagraj Uttar Pradesh was concluded on 9th February 2025 with a beautiful valedictory function.
The fifteen day event was organized by the National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa in collaboration with the Himalayan Buddhist Cultural Association, New Delhi at Boudh Sangam, sector 18 Prayagraj.
Ven. Shartsee Khensur Rinpoche Wangchuk Chorden, Secretary General, International Buddhist Confederation, New Delhi was the chief guest for the valedictory function and Shri Bajrang Ji Bangra, National General Secretary, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Shri Abhijit Halder, Director General, International Buddhist Confederation was Guest of honours. Ven Lama Chosphel Zotpa, President, Himalayan Buddhist Cultural Association has presented welcome address and he also thanked Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State Ayush (I/C) for providing the 15 days Sowa-Rigpa Exhibition and free medical camp. Dr Padma Gurmet, Director, National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, Leh has presented the key note address highlighting the strengths and potentials of Sowa-Rigpa.
While presenting the Chief Guest address Ven. Shartsee Khensur Rinpoche Wangchuk Chorden highlighted the importance of Buddhist values in today’s age for peace and prosperity, he also appreciated the efforts of the National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa for preservation and promotion of Sowa-Rigpa on National level. Several other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion. At last the cultural program was also performed by the HBCA students of Shaligram, W.B.
