NC Govt will facilitate ambitious job package for Jammu and Kashmir Youth: Abrol, Dr Vikas

The Diplomat Desk

Jammu,TDD, If National Conference is elected to power in Jammu and Kashmir, it will facilitate a comprehensive job package aimed at tackling unemployment among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative, which is being hailed as a game-changer, includes a series of measures designed to create jobs, fill government vacancies, and promote entrepreneurship.

Addressing a meeting, Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC, Ankush Abrol flanked by Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District and Secretary Central Zone JKNC, said, “The commitment is expected to resonate with thousands of workers who have been seeking job security and stability.

Abrol said, “NC has committed to providing one lakh jobs for the youth across various sectors. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce unemployment and provide much-needed opportunities for the younger population.”

He also said that paramedical staff in associated hospitals and GMC, casual laborers, daily wage workers, CIC operators, contractual employees, home guards, and rehbar-e-khel (temporary sports coaches or physical education teachers) would be regularized as soon as the NC was elected to power by the people of J&K. “This broad spectrum of workers has been a significant part of the state’s workforce, often working under precarious conditions without the benefits and security that come with permanent employment,” Abrol said.

He stated that by promising regularization, the JKNC is directly addressing the concerns of temporary employees and their families. The implications of such a policy are far-reaching.

Ankush also emphasized safeguarding land laws and employment rights, emphasizing the need to review all decisions made without the approval of the people.

Also speaking, Dr Vikas Sharma said, “We recognize the importance of providing for our elderly and widows, who have contributed significantly to society. We will increase the pension for these vulnerable groups to ₹3000, providing them with the dignity and financial security they deserve.”

He also said that women across Jammu and Kashmir would be entitled to free travel on all public transport. This initiative is designed to promote ease of movement and increase access to education, employment, and healthcare.

Our commitment to pensioners extends to healthcare. We will increase the medical allowance for pensioners and their families from the existing ₹300 to ₹1000 per month, ensuring they have adequate access to medical services.

To support families from the EWS category, we will enhance the marriage assistance amount from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000, ensuring that families receive meaningful support during important life events.

Dr Sharma added that their manifesto was a comprehensive vision for a better future—one that empowers women, secures our elderly, and uplifts the underprivileged. Jammu and Kashmir National Conference stands with the people and for the people. Our promises are grounded in the belief that every citizen deserves to live with dignity, security, and opportunity.

Dr Vikas urged the voters not to get swayed by the fake narratives being spread by BJP and vote for their peace and prosperity that can be guaranteed only by JKNC.
