Jammu: DD, Ankush Abrol, Provincial Joint Secretary JKNC today reiterated his demand for restoration of Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
Abrol urged the Prime Minister to fulfil his promise, which he made with the people of Jammu and Kashmir earnestly waiting for his constructive action sans further delay.
Addressing youths during a meeting, Abrol said that statehood is not just a political necessity but a constitutional and moral obligation held out to people of J&K that must be fulfilled at the earliest.
The time for delays and empty promises is over as the people demand positive action, he asserted.
The meeting was organised by Vikshay Vashist and graced by Ankush Abrol, Joint Secretary JKNC, as the Chief Guest, while Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District and Secretary of the Central Zone of JKNC was the guest of honour.

While interacting with youth both maintained that the Central Government must understand that without restoration of Statehood, the process of ensuring Development, Peace and Prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir would remain as day dreaming and injustice with the people here, they apprehended.
Ankush urged the people to strengthen the hands of the National Conference enabling it to continue serving the people and fulfilling their hopes and aspirations.
He emphasized that the National Conference led government under Omar Abdullah is dedicated to holistic development and pro-people governance.
Dr Vikas Sharma in his address slammed the BJP for adopting policies which are anti-poor, anti-youth, and anti-downtrodden class pushing the region into economic degradation, administrative chaos and confusion as well as developmental apathy.
He said that the people of Jammu had high hopes from the BJP, but the party failed on all fronts and insulted its mandate by breaching trust of the common masses in Jammu.
Raising a red flag over employment policies, Dr Vikas expressed strong concern over the appointment of non-locals in the education sector, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir’s universities.
“This trend is blocking employment opportunities for highly qualified local youth and creating a sense of discrimination among the educated youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” he noted. He demanded a fair and transparent recruitment policy with preference to local candidates.
He urged the people to see through the BJP’s false promises and support the National Conference in its mission to bring stability, progress, and justice to Jammu & Kashmir.
Other prominent present on the Meeting included Abhishek Uppal, Vineet Gupta, Sanjay Anand, Zeeshaan Ali Rather, Ashfaq Ahmed Adil, Sajid Malik, Amit Gupta, Ashfaq Ahmed, Gourav Chibber, Mayank Bali, Nikhal Parihar, Ankush Sharma, Muneeb ul islam, Nisharat Ali, Pankaj Sharma, Sourav Thakur, Veer, Vikas Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Ankush and others.DD
