KATHUA: A team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) from Jammu today arrested two persons allegedly with heroin-like substance in Kathua district.
Acting on the intelligence inputs, the NCB team Jammu apprehended two persons, who were coming from Punjab through the Jammu-Pathankot highway on a splendor motorbike without registration number plate.
The NCB team intercepted the motorbike at Chadwal Morh and frisked the riders. During the checking of the persons, they claimed to have recovered a heroin like substance (400 grams) from the possession of the two persons, one is rider, and another is pillion rider, as per the officials. Following initial verification, both were taken to the police post Chadwal for further investigation, and legal action.
The officials have identified the alleged accused persons as Muradu and Shahid, residents of Hiranagar in Kathua District. Further details are awaited into the matter. (TDD)
