Srinagar, Jan 28(DD): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting extensive raids at six locations across Kashmir as part of its investigation into the recent targeted killings of non-locals in the region.

These attacks, which have sparked widespread concerns over security in the valley, are believed to be part of a coordinated effort to disrupt peace and instill fear among non-residents.

Under the leadership of SSP Sandeep Choudhary, the NIA teams have launched operations in Srinagar, Budgam, and Sopore to identify suspects and dismantle networks suspected of orchestrating these attacks. Sources suggest that the raids are aimed at gathering crucial evidence, apprehending individuals linked to the killings, and uncovering financial and logistical support systems involved in the conspiracy.

The killings of non-local residents and workers have been a recurring issue in Kashmir, prompting calls for stronger security measures and swift action against those responsible. The NIA, working closely with local law enforcement agencies, has intensified its crackdown on terror modules in an effort to restore stability in the region.

This operation by the NIA highlights the government’s commitment to tackling terrorism and ensuring justice for the victims of these heinous crimes. As the raids progress, further details are awaited.(DD)
