Non-Local Man Crushed to Death by Train on Budgam–Baramulla Railway Line

Srinagar, (DD): A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning when a non-local man was crushed to death by a moving train on the Budgam–Baramulla railway stretch, officials confirmed.

The accident took place near Kilometer 74 in Chodribagh, between Budgam and Baramulla stations, as Train No. 74614 was passing through the area.

“The individual was run over by the train and died on the spot,” an official said. The deceased has not yet been identified, but preliminary reports suggest he was a non-local.

Railway police and local administration responded to the scene, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances of the fatal accident. The body has been shifted for medico-legal procedures(DD)
