Jammu,DD: Police today claimed to have arrested an alleged criminal along with a sharp-edged weapon in R.S. Pura.
Police said that a police team from police station R.S. Pura led by its SHO laid a random Naka near Chak Mohd Yar where they intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02DF-2370 heading towards Dablehar and it was stopped for checking.
On being stopped, police said that the riders began behaving suspiciously, raising doubt in the minds of the naka party.
Upon their personal search, the police stated that “A sharp edged weapon (toka) was recovered from his associate namely Manoj Kumar alias Moja, resident of RS Pura.”
Police said that atleast 17 criminal old cases have been registered in different police station of Jammu District against the subject.
In this regard, FIR No 94/2025 under sections 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station R.S Pura and investigation taken-up.
The operation was led by SHO R S Pura Inspector R.S. Parihar under the supervision of SDPO R S Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.DD
