Jammu: DD, In a significant step towards maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of citizens, Jammu Police, South Zone has detained Happy Choudhary alias Guggli, son of Darshan Lal, a resident of Hakkal, Tehsil Jammu, District Jammu, under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) 1978.
The detention order issued by DM Jammu was executed by Police Station Satwari under the supervision of SDPO South and the overall supervision of SP City South, on the directions of SSP Jammu.
Happy Choudhary is a notorious criminal with a desperate and violent character, habitual of committing serious offenses including attempt to murder, snatching, stabbing, and possession of illegal arms. Despite repeated legal actions, the accused has shown blatant disregard for the law and continued to indulge in criminal activities, posing a constant threat to public peace and security.
The subject has been involved in five criminals cases.
Despite multiple arrests and cases, his criminal activities persisted, proving the ineffectiveness of routine legal measures in curbing his unlawful conduct. The preventive detention under PSA was deemed essential to safeguard public order and prevent further criminal activities.
