Officers called from other States, J&K ruled by outsiders big tragedy: Rahul in Sgr

Srinagar, (TDD): Claiming that the J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha was acting like a “Raja”, senior Congress leader and the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi today said “outsiders ruling J&K was the biggest tragedy.”

“Every officers is a non J&K resident. Officers are being called from other states of the country. It’s an irony that outsiders are ruling J&K that too against the wishes of people,” Rahul said addressing a mega rally in Central-Shalteng Assembly constituency of Srinagar. The constituency has been carved out post delimitation exercise.
He took a dig at LG Manoj Sinha by stating that he was acting like a “Raja” and doing things against the wishes of people. “He doesn’t know how to work. He can never do what people want,” Rahul said sarcastically.
Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendera Modi for bragging a lot about “man ki baat” Rahul said Modi forgets “kaam ki baat”. “J&K was not only downgraded to a UT but this place is not ruled by outsiders against the wishes of people which is an irony,” he said. “In rest of the country, unemployment has touched its peak and PM Modi is responsible for that.”
He said before Lok Sabha polls, BJP leaders talked so much about Modi having a 56 inch chest. “That 56 inch claim is gone now. Earlier he would speak with chest spread but INDIA alliance managed to break the Modi’s psychology. Modi’s confidence is lost. He is the Modi of earlier days,” Rahul said.
“I see him very closely in the Lok Sabha while people see him on TV. His mood has changed and his face has changed. Credit goes to INDIA alliance for this,” he said.
He said BJP leaders spread hatred and pitch brother against a brother. “They have spread hatred across the country. Hatred is not dealt with Hatred but with love,” Rahul said.
From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Rahul said, he walked 4000 kms. “Wherever BJP had opened the shops of hatred, we closed them and opened the shops of love. We will continue to do same,” he said. Reiterating his committed for the restoration of Statehood to J&K, Rahul said that INDIA alliance will mount pressure on BJP led government at the Centre and ensure statehood is restored to J&K. “If BJP fails to do so, I guarantee you we will do it as it is your legitimate right. Rahul also sought votes for Tariq Karra from Central Shalteng constituency stating that Karra joined the party when others were leaving. Later, Karra presented Rahul a traditional Kashmiri skull cap called “Karakulli.” Rahul, reiterated he has a blood relation with Kashmir and he himself is a Kashmiri—(TDD)
