Old Rivalry Sparks Violence at Wrestling Event in Kathua, Two Groups Clash at Mahi Chak

KATHUA: DD, Two groups of people on Wednesday clashed and pelted stones at each other, following an old rivalry at Mahi Chak in Kathua.
As per the reports, this incident happened just a few hours before a scheduled program (Dangal) at Mahi Chak, Kathua.
However, the program was cancelled after a violent incident.
“The people had gathered to witness Dangal where a J&K Govt’s Minister had also come as main guest,” the reports said.
It further stated that following arguments, two groups of people entered into violent clashes and pelted stones on one-another because of an old dispute.
Immediately, the local police intervened and tried to resolve the issue.
However, investigation has been initiated into the incident. Further details are awaited.DD
