Iltija Mufti Says Grandmother Stable, Urges Media to Avoid Panic

Srinagar, (DD): Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on today visited the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Soura to inquire about the health of Gulshan Ara, the mother of PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

During the visit, the Chief Minister was briefed on her condition by SKIMS Director Dr. Ashraf Ganie and Medical Superintendent Dr. Farooq Jan, along with a team of senior doctors overseeing her treatment.

The district administration officers are supervising management of Shri Amarnath Yatra closely and ensuring maximum facilitation with minimum hassle.

Earlier in the day, Mehbooba Mufti’s daughter, Iltija Mufti, appealed to the media to refrain from spreading speculation about her grandmother’s health.
“Requesting media not to create unnecessary speculation and panic about my grandmother’s health. She’s stable and under observation,” Iltija wrote in a post on X.

Hospital sources confirmed that Gulshan Ara is currently under close medical supervision and her condition is stable(DD)
