Srinagar, (DD)All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday made a strong statement during his visit to Srinagar, demanding justice for the recent Pahalgam incident. Addressing reporters, Owaisi said the tragedy cannot be overlooked and that “Pahalgam must be avenged.”

“Whatever happened in Pahalgam is heartbreaking,” Owaisi told the media. “It must not be forgotten. The pain of the victims and their families cannot be erased. Those responsible must be identified and brought to justice. Pahalgam must be avenged—through lawful and transparent means.”

Owaisi, who has been a vocal advocate for the rights of minorities and justice in conflict regions, stressed that justice must prevail for peace to be restored. “Jammu and Kashmir has suffered for decades. We cannot allow impunity. There can be no peace without justice, and no justice without accountability,” he added.

While he refrained from naming specific individuals or detailing the incident publicly, Owaisi’s remarks have drawn significant attention in political and civil circles across the Valley.

He also urged the central government and J&K administration to ensure that investigations are fair and timely. “The people of Kashmir are watching. You cannot ignore their pain. They deserve dignity, they deserve answers.” (DD)
