Anantnag, (DD) Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday said that Pakistan is actively trying to derail the development process in Jammu and Kashmir and create divisions among its people.
Addressing a religious gathering in Larkipora Aishmuqam, the LG strongly criticised Pakistan’s role in fuelling unrest in the region. He alleged that the neighbouring country is working to undo the progress made in the Union Territory over the past five years.
“Pakistan is attempting to destroy the development achieved in Jammu and Kashmir and break our unity. But we will not allow their nefarious designs to succeed,” Sinha asserted.
He emphasised the importance of unity and public cooperation in combating terrorism. “Our police and security forces are doing a commendable job, but lasting peace can only be achieved when the people stand together and support these efforts.”
The LG called on citizens to remain vigilant and share timely information with law enforcement agencies. “Public support is crucial. Together, we can uproot terrorism completely,” he said.
Appreciating the strength and patience of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Sinha said that despite numerous challenges and provocations, the citizens have displayed remarkable resilience.
“We will continue to march forward on the path of peace, progress, and unity. No one will be allowed to divide us,” he added(DD)
