Pakistani Intruder Shot Dead by Indian Border Guards in J&K’s Ramgarh Sector


Samba, Jammu (India): A Pakistani national was killed along the International Border in the Ramgarh sector of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Mohammed Arif, son of Abdul Rehman, a resident of Batapur Manhala Kalan, Tehsil Shalamar, District Lahore, Pakistan.

“The alert BSF troops noticed suspicious activity near the International Border and accordingly warned the intruder. However, he did not stop, compelling the Indian border guards to open fire, during which he sustained serious injuries,” the sources said.

The BSF troops cautiously approached the forward area in one of the border outposts in the Ramgarh sector, where the intruder was noticed.
“The BSF troops rushed there and shifted the intruder to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead,” the sources added.

The body has been shifted to the mortuary for legal formalities, and further investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, security arrangements have been intensified along the International Border against terror activities.DD
