Pakistan’s unprovoked fire across LoC in Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor, Kupwara & Baramulla has escalated tension

POONCH/SRINAGAR,DD: The situation all along the Line of Control across the Line of Control with unprovoked firing by Pakistan Army from Poonch, Rajouri, Akhnoor up-to Kupwara and Baramulla has escalated.
“During the night of 01-02 May 2025, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms firing from posts across the Line of Control opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Naushera, and Akhnoor areas of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” said the defence spokesperson.
The spokesperson said that the Indian Army troops responded in a calibrated and proportionate manner. Amid tension, the Indian Army has been kept on alert to respond to any kind of provocations on the LoC.DD
