Jammu: TDD,Amit Kapoor, President of the Parents Association Jammu, has raised concerns over recent orders issued by the Jammu and Kashmir Fee Fixation and Regulation Commission (JKFFRC) regarding early age admissions to schools. He questioned the decision to not admit children below six years of age to the first class, even if they were previously enrolled.
Kapoor demanded a high-level investigation into the irregularities within the JKFFRC, alleging a major scam that he plans to expose in the coming days. He also criticized the implementation of earlier orders, such as the ban on bags for nursery children, and the continued charging of admission and capitation fees by private schools, despite these being prohibited.
He further urged authorities to investigate how JKFFRC members approved fee hikes for private schools. Kapoor also called for stricter action against schools violating rules and curbing the nexus between schools and suppliers of books, notebooks, and uniforms.
Criticizing politicians who inaugurate private schools, Kapoor accused them of indirectly endorsing the arbitrary fee hikes imposed by these institutions during the peak admission season in March and April. He asserted that he possesses evidence to expose the JKFFRC scam.TDD
