Udhampur :TDD, Independent candidate from Udhampur East Assembly Constituency Pawan Khajuria held a press conference for the Udhampur East Assembly constituency today. The main purpose of the conference was to discuss the election symbol and manifesto. Khajuria announced that the Election Commission has assigned him the sewing machine as his election symbol, and his serial number on the voting machine will be 7. He also released the manifesto for the Udhampur East Assembly, titled “A Relationship of Trust, A Commitment to Development.” One of the key objectives outlined in the manifesto is the formation of an MLA advisory committee in every area of the eastern assembly constituency. Khajuria emphasized that his main goal is to develop the Udhampur East Assembly constituency as a model constituency in the entire country.
The manifesto focuses on several key areas, including basic infrastructure, education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment. It promises to provide clean water daily, construct paved roads in every village and panchayat, and create proper access to every house in each locality. In the education sector, Khajuria pledged to establish world-class high schools in every panchayat, with separate toilets for boys and girls, and to build a world-class higher secondary school for every three panchayats. He also committed to implementing a transparent transfer policy for teachers and addressing the demands of teachers employed under the RET scheme.
For healthcare, the manifesto promises to set up world-class health and wellness centers at every panchayat level, upgrade PHC Tikri and PHC Majalta to trauma and accident hospitals, and address the shortage of doctors and paramedical staff. Khajuria also emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment, stating that they will work towards making women economically strong.
