JAMMU/POONCH: DD, Disrupting the peace across Line of Control, the Pakistan Army has opened unprovoked small arm fire across the border from Kashmir, Rajouri, Poonch to Jammu’s Akhnoor.
“During the night of 03–04 May 2025, Pakistan Army posts resorted to unprovoked small arms fire across the LoC in areas opposite Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajauri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor in J&K,” the defence spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that the Indian Army responded promptly and proportionately.
The situation has turned tense with continuous ceasefire violation across the Line of Control as the troops have been put on high alert.DD
