Ramban: DD, The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, DKR Range, Sh.Shridhar Patil, IPS presided over the Thana Divas function at Ramban, reiterating that “People Centric Policing is our priority”. This event, held in Ramban aimed to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the community .
During the event, Addl. SP Ramban, Sh. Gourav Mahajan, JKPS, emphasized the importance of resolving public issues, combating crime, and ensuring a safe environment for law-abiding citizens.
DIG DKR Range expressed gratitude to the public for participating and sharing their expectations, highlighting the significance of community involvement in shaping policing priorities.
The event also featured discussions on the New Criminal Laws, which are designed to be more victim and citizen-centric, differing from the colonial-era laws. The visiting officers listened to public grievances and assured prompt redressal.
The DIG appealed to the participants to collaborate with the police in eliminating crime and reporting suspicious activities. The community expressed appreciation for the police, particularly the DGP J&K, for organizing the Thana Divas event.DD
