PM Modi was our guest, It was our duty to treat him nicely: CM Omar’s Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani

Srinagar, (DD): Nasir Aslam, Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, remarked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the region was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect, as is customary for any visiting leader.

Speaking to reporters here Wani stated, “Prime Minister Modi was our guest during his visit, and it is our responsibility to extend the best hospitality and treat him nicely. This is a reflection of our traditions and values.”

The remarks come after PM Modi’s inauguration of the Z-Morh tunnel in Sonamarg, a project aimed at ensuring year-round connectivity to the region. The visit, marked by developmental announcements, was seen as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the central government and the Jammu and Kashmir administration.

Wani further emphasized that the state government maintains a non-partisan approach when it comes to the welfare and progress of Jammu and Kashmir. “Our focus remains on the development of the region and addressing the needs of our people, irrespective of political differences,” he added.

The statement underscores the significance of maintaining mutual respect and cooperation between the state and central governments, particularly in light of the shared goal of fostering growth and stability in Jammu and Kashmir(DD)
