Police Arrests 19-year-old from Bathindi

Was in touch over mobile phone with suspected contacts in Pakistan, other foreign countries: Police

Jammu:DD, Police today claimed to have arrested a suspected person of 19-years old from Bathindi area of Jammu District.
According to the police, they apprehended the 19 year old, resident of Reasi District, presently residing at Bathindi area of Jammu.
During an investigation, police said, his role emerged as a key suspect under FIR number 331 of 2025 under section 113 (3) BNS registered at Police Station Bahu Fort.
Citing the preliminary investigation, police revealed that the accused was being radicalised online and he was allegedly planning to carry out a terror act.
“It has also surfaced that he was in touch over mobile phone with certain numbers based in Pakistan and other foreign countries,” the police investigation disclosed.


Police further stated that the suspect’s digital devices have been seized, and they are being examined and analysed.
Meanwhile, the detailed questioning of the accused and a thorough investigation is underway. More arrests cannot be ruled out.DD
