Jammu:DD, Acting tough against drug peddlers, Police Post Greater Kailash apprehended a drug peddler and recovered approx 20 kilo grams of poppy straw from his possession while he was on his way towards greater kailash.
On questioning, he disclosed his name Sunny Gupta s/o Munni Lal Gupta r/o a/p Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Samba.
The said accused deliberately with Mala-fed intention indulged in illegal trade of selling/purchasing of narcotic contraband in order to gain illegitimate and undue profit.
Drug peddling has created an alarming situation in Jammu as well as in whole India where the innocent youth is falling prey to the nefarious designs of these criminals, causing many overdose deaths in recent past.
In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 09/2025 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act got registered at P/S gangyal and further investigation was taken up.
Gangyal Police led by SHO Insp Satvir Singh and ICPP Greater Kailash PSI Wasim Bhatti is duty bound and working hard to nab these criminals to save innocent young generation from these criminals who have become nightmare for the parents of vulnerable children who are residing in hostels or going out for tuitions.
General public has appreciated the action of sub-division city south police for registering one after another FIR under NDPS Act to remove this menace with the launch of zero tolerance policy
