Jammu:TDD,As part of their ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police achieved a significant breakthrough on 3rd January 2025. A police team from Police Post Sidhra, while conducting routine patrolling in the Waliabad area of Sidhra, noticed a pedestrian displaying suspicious behavior.
The individual, walking from Raghoora towards Sidhra, attempted to flee upon spotting the patrolling team.
Acting swiftly, the team led by the In-Charge of Police Post Sidhra, PSI Rohit Manhas managed to apprehend the individual on the spot. The suspect identified as Bagh Hussain, son of Alam Din, a resident of Khanpur Raj Bagh, Kathua, currently residing in Raghoora, Jammu.
During a personal search, the team recovered approximately 8-9 grams of heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.
Consequently, a case has been registered under FIR No. 05/2024, U/S 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Nagrota, marking a decisive step in the fight against drug trafficking.
