JAMMU:TDD,As part of Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu and Kashmir Police today launched a concerted effort to combat drug smuggling and peddling in Sub-Division East of South – Zone Jammu.
A raid was conducted on a suspected drug hotspot in Rajeev Nagar, within the jurisdiction of Police Station Bahu Fort (Police Post Narwal), in the presence of EMIC Bahu.
Police teams led by SP South Jammu and SDPO East, along with concerned SHOs and IC PPs participated in the operation. The drive involved rigorous checks of suspected houses, pedestrians and vehicles.
Consequently, the FIR was registered under relevant sections of law, and investigation is underway.
Additionally, a counseling session was organized to educate residents and youth about the detrimental effects of drug abuse, promoting community awareness and prevention.TDD
