26 Houses of Terrorists Operating from PoK, OGWs Searched

KISHTWAR:DD, In a major crackdown against the terrorists, J&K Police conducted simultaneous operations across Kishtwar District in 26 locations in the houses of the terrorists operating from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) on Saturday early morning.
The operation was launched under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh, and Additional SP Pardeep Singh by the 26 different J&K Police teams with the assistance of paramilitary forces.
These search teams conducted searches in the houses belonging to terrorists and OGWs, according to the police in Kishtwar, Chatroo, Padder and other places. The police have checked digital devices, documents and questioning of some of the persons is underway during the operation.
“The house of a longest surviving terrorist in Kishtwar, Jahangir Saroori, has also been searched,” the police stated.
It said that “The houses of terrorists, who had exfiltrated to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 90s from J&K, and operating from there to create disturbance, and also aim to revive the terror activists in the region. However, the police and other security agencies have acted promptly foiling their evil design.”
The security forces have conducted a series of cordon and search operations across Kashmir, Doda and other places following inputs about the suspicious movements, and also recovered arms and ammunition in the past.DD
