KATHUA; TDD:- Kathua Police while continuing its “War on Drugs” putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace from the society and in consequence J&K Police Kathua recovered/seized approx. 9.1 Grams of Heroin (chitta) like narcotics at Hariachak area of PS Rajbagh and one drug peddler was arrested.
On 09/01/2025 an information had been received at PS Rajbagh regarding the trade of Narcotics Heroin like contraband substance in Haria Chak nursery area. Acting swiftly, police team of PS Rajbagh during naka checking at Haria Chak apprehended one suspicious person namely Mohd Saleem S/o Shab Din R/o Ward No. 48 Gujjar Basti Rakh Bahu Fort Jammu who was indulged in illegal smuggling/selling of heroin like contraband and selling drugs to the youth at Haria Chak area was arrested.
During frisking approx. 9.1 Grams of Heroin like narcotics substance was recovered from his possession which got seized and 01 drug peddler arrested on spot.In this regard a case FIR No. 04/2025 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rajbagh and further investigation has been set into motion accordingly.
The arrest and recovery has been made by police team headed by SHO Police Station Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border.TDD
