Police Take out Grand Tiranga rally in Handwara

Handwara,DD, As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Maati Mera Desh campaigns under the “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” initiative, Handwara Police, in collaboration with the Civil Administration, today organized a grand Tiranga Rally to mark the 79th Independence Day celebrations.

The rally was jointly flagged off by SSP Handwara, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhury, JKPS, and Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara from Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara. The colourful procession passed through prominent locations including Chowdary Gali, Jamia Qadeem, Main Chowk Handwara, ZEO Office Khunbal, Yateem Trust Link Road, Police Station Handwara, and culminated back at the Boys Higher Secondary School.

Senior officers from Police, Civil Administration, the Education Department, and various other departments actively participated in the event. Hundreds of students, police personnel, and members of the civil society joined the rally, proudly waving the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans, creating an atmosphere filled with national pride.

Speaking on the occasion, SSP Handwara and ADC Handwara highlighted the importance of the national flag as a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and freedom, urging the public to participate wholeheartedly in Independence Day celebrations and to uphold the values of peace, harmony, and brotherhood.

The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, resonating with the collective spirit of patriotism and reaffirming the commitment of the people of Handwara towards the progress and unity of the nation.DD
