Jammu, TDD,In a major breakthrough, Doda Police has worked out a theft case involving huge amount of cash stolen from the temple and arrested the accused within 24 hours.
Giving details police said that on 01.01.2025 a complaint was lodged at police station Doda by one Ajay Kumar S/O Sewa Ram R/o Ghat Doda regarding theft of cash from Temple near Govt. Medical College Ghat Doda after break opening the lock during the night of night of 31.12.2024. Soon after the receipt of complaint case FIR No.01/2025 U/S 305/331(3)BNS was registered in PS Doda and investigation started.
On the directions of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta-JKPS a special police team was constituted headed by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Doda. During the course of the investigation many suspects were rounded up for questioning besides human intelligence as well as technical assistance was also utilized by the investigating team. During questioning 02 juvenile (name withheld) have confessed their involvement in the theft case and on their disclosure stolen cash Rs, 13550/- was recovered from their possession.
