Poonch, DD, In a significant legal action, the Poonch Police has attached the immovable property of Manzoor Ahmed, son of Ali Mohammad, resident of Gagrian, Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch. This action has been carried out as per the directions of the Hon’ble Court, under the provisions of Section 88 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
Manzoor Ahmed was involved in FIR No. 60/1993 under Sections 2/3 of the Egress and internal movement (Control)Ordinance(E&IMCO) at Police Station Mandi, District Poonch. Having absconded to Pakistan/PoJK, he was declared a proclaimed offender by the court.
Despite extensive efforts to apprehend him, Manzoor Ahmed remained at large, leading the Hon’ble Court to order the attachment of his property. In compliance with the court’s directive, the Poonch Police, in coordination with revenue authorities, successfully executed the attachment of his immovable property.
This development underscores the Poonch Police’s unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that individuals who attempt to evade justice face legal consequences.
