Porter killed, 4 soldiers injured as terrorist attack army convoy at J&K’s Baramulla

Srinagar, (TDD): The terrorists attacked the army convoy at Bothpathri sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district near Nagin post in which a civilian porter was killed and four soldiers injured.
Security officials told the Diplomat that the heavily armed terrorist ambushed the army convoy at Bothpathri sector in Baramulla near Nagin post this evening. “A porter was killed while four soldiers sustained injuries in the attack,” they said.
They said that the area has been cordoned off and more reinforcements have been rushed to the area to hunt the attackers. Meanwhile, police in a statement confirmed that an exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists at Bothpathri sector near Nagin post. It said that further details will be shared.
The attack comes after series of directions from the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to the heads of security agencies to maintain highest level of alertness at all installations in the wake of deadly attack on Sunday at Gagangeer, Ganderbal that left a doctor and six labourers dead and several others injured- (TDD)
