In view of the opening of the auxiliary spillway of Baglihar Dam, the water level of Chenab River may rise significantly and suddenly. People are advised to stay away from riverbanks & floodplains, avoid crossing the river, and refrain from fishing or bathing near the river. Keep livestock away from riverbanks and remain alert.
