Srinagar, DD) Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, today expressed full support for the government’s response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which killed over two dozen people and injured several others.

Addressing the media in Srinagar alongside JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra and senior Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Gandhi said, “We had a meeting with the government yesterday. The opposition strongly condemned the attack and offered complete support for any action the government decides to take.”

Gandhi, who arrived in Srinagar earlier today, expressed solidarity with the victims and said the motive behind the attack was to divide communities. “At this moment, unity is essential. Every Indian must stand together. We must not allow terrorists to achieve their objectives,” he stated.

He also visited one of the injured survivors and extended his condolences to the bereaved families. “My love and support go to all those who lost their loved ones. The entire nation stands united,” Gandhi said.

He further condemned the targeting of Kashmiris in the aftermath of the attack. “It is distressing to see some people attacking my Kashmiri brothers and sisters in other parts of the country. Such actions only serve the terrorists’ agenda. We must respond with unity and compassion.”(DD)
