Ramban, Banihal record 26.13 % polling till 11 AM amid long queues outside polling booths

Ramban, (TDD) : – Atleast 26.13 percent voting percentage was recorded in Banihal, and Ramban District by 11 AM today.

The polling stations have recorded long queues of the voters, including first time voters, women and elderly persons, who have participated in the ongoing first phase polling in Ramban District.

As per the official figures, Banihal recorded 20.89 % polling percentage and Ramban recorded 32.85 % by 11 AM. A total of 26.13 % was recorded in the entire district till the filing of this report. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, a tight security arrangement has been made around the polling stations across the district with the deployment of district police and the paramilitary police. The polling is going on peacefully.

Meanwhile, polling stations in 51-Bhadarwah witnessed long queues of Voters especially women.

Residents who are participating in the assembly polls after 10 years expressed gratitude to the ECI for making all the necessary arrangements which resulted in smooth and pleasant voting experience. (TDD)
