Kishtwar, (DD): In an unusual enforcement action, a three-wheeler auto driver was challaned by the police in Bonjwah, a remote area of Kishtwar, for not wearing a seat belt.
The challan has raised eyebrows, as auto-rickshaws generally do not come equipped with seat belts. Local residents and fellow drivers were left surprised and confused over the applicability of the rule to three-wheelers, with some questioning whether it was a genuine oversight or a misunderstanding of traffic laws.
