Republic Day Security Strengthened: CRPF and Udhampur Police Adopt Holistic Protective Measures

Udhampur: DD,As part of a strong display of readiness, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and district police of Udhampur have put in place tight security arrangements for the 76th Republic Day to be celebrated on January 26.

The security machinery has been greatly bolstered with multi-layered protective strategies that are directed at preventing all possible security threats and ensuring smooth national commemoration.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Amod Ashok Nagpure, also released a series of security arrangements which include making strategic deployments of forces, there will be multiple checkpoints, and advanced surveillance techniques will also be used. Jammu-Srinagar National Highway NH-44 has been put on high alert, here CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir Police Special Operations Group are doing strict check on vehicles. There are even metal detectors, to make a comprehensive screening.

Drones are the surveillance part of the security strategy. Aerial monitoring has been kept in sensitive areas for constant vigil. The police have also launched pre-emptive measures through systematic roundups against persons having the potential for causing security threats. CRPF, Army, and local police forces in coordination are ensuring the district administration to keep law and order in the nation’s celebration.
