Review Meeting on Circuit Sitting of CAT Bench at Kargil and Leh

Leh, DD: In view of the scheduled Circuit Sitting of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) Bench at Kargil and Leh from 10th to 15th June 2025, a preparatory meeting was convened today 09.06.2025 by Shashi Kant Bhagat, (A) Secretary, Department of Law & Justice, UT of Ladakh, in his office chamber.

The meeting was attended by all Legal Officers stationed at Leh, while officers posted in Kargil joined through video conferencing.

The primary agenda of the meeting was to review the status of cases listed before the CAT Bench during its sittings at both locations.

During the meeting, case-wise discussions were held based on the notified cause list.

The directions were issued to ensure timely filing of replies in all pending matters so that the cases could be adjudicated effectively during the course of the Bench’s sitting.

The (A) Secretary, Law and Justice, further directed all Legal Officers to remain present during the hearings, along with the concerned case records, to facilitate smooth proceedings and proper assistance to the Bench.

The meeting concluded with a strong emphasis on coordinated efforts and timely compliance to ensure efficient case management during the upcoming Circuit Sitting of the CAT.DD
