Udhampur :DD,The ninth martyrdom anniversary of Captain Tushar Mahajan (Shaurya Chakra) was commemorated with solemn reverence in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, as citizens gathered to pay homage to the fallen hero.
A significant wreath-laying ceremony was conducted at his statue near T-Morh, drawing officers from the 9 Para, Army personnel, family members, and numerous civilians who offered floral tributes to honor his memory.
Captain Mahajan made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation during a counter-terrorism operation in Pampore in February 2016, where he demonstrated exceptional valor and tactical expertise in neutralizing terrorists who had taken refuge in a government building. His courageous actions, which earned him the prestigious Shaurya Chakra, continue to inspire the nation and serve as a testament to the unwavering spirit of India’s armed forces in protecting the country’s security and sovereignty.DD
