Jammu, DD, The Public Works Department (PWD) has completed development works worth Rs 65 crore in Jandrah and Dhan Panchayat, in Nagrota Assembly constituency giving a big boost to rural road infrastructure in the area.
These works were taken up after continuous efforts by Anil Sharma, President of AJKPC, who actively pursued the matter with the district administration and PWD officials to strengthen road connectivity in the region.
The major roads completed under this initiative include the roads from Devak to nearby villages, Chakka to Sullian, Davek to Panwali, and Devak to Saley, pandiri,Bhawani. These routes are now easing travel for the local population and boosting local trade and connectivity.
In addition to road construction, several improvements in public amenities have also been completed, aimed at raising the overall standard of living in the Panchayat. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to inclusive rural development.
PWD officials mentioned that all works were completed on time with full transparency and adherence to quality standards. The local community has responded positively, appreciating the upgraded infrastructure and improved accessibility.
Anil Sharma also extended gratitude to the villagers who generously gave land for these roads without any compensation, contributing to the public cause. Their cooperation was key to the success of the projects.
