‘Some people not able to digest party’s grand victory in Assembly polls’

Srinagar, Oct 15 (TDD): National Conference today strongly refuted the rumours about its Srinagar-Budgam Member Parliament (MP) Syed Aga Ruhullah resigning from the party, stating that “some vested interests are out to defame the party as they aren’t able to digest the huge mandate given to the party.”
Rumours were making rounds in social media groups that NC MP has resigned from the party on the pretext that party has dragged its feet from its stand on Article 370. The messages were circulated on WhatsApp and other social media groups that went viral like a bush fire.
Reacting to the development, NC termed it’s as handiwork of vested interests, who aren’t able to digest the party’s grand victory in the recently concluded Assembly polls.
“Rumours are circulating that Aga Ruhullah (MP) has resigned from the party. This is completely fake news and baseless. For God’s sake, please refrain from spreading lies. Let’s not stop to this level,” NC responded to the rumours.
National Conference spokesman Imran Nabi Dar while dismissing the rumours about MP Ruhullah resigning from the party. “This is totally a baseless news,” Dar said. “There is nothing behind this news. Social media is a platform where some people want to play hidden politics by trying to defame NC.”
It may be recalled that NC MP Ruhullah was the star campaigner for the party in the just concluded polls and it is believed that the stand taken by the MP that “if NC drags its feet from the stand on Article 370 after winning polls or coming to power, he would be first to quit the party.” (TDD)
