Jammu, DD, National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister, Mr. Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, today made a clarion call to non-governmental and philanthropic organizations to supplement the governmental initiatives in providing relief to the people affected by recent torrential rains, flash floods, and cloudbursts
across Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking at a relief distribution camp at Janipur here, organized by National Conference
District President Mr. Chander Mohan Sharma, Mr. Sadhotra lauded the humanitarian gesture, terming it as an act that strengthens the bond of compassion and solidarity with the victims in their hour of distress. calamities.

Sadhotra said that the Omar Abdullah-led government has been on its toes since the
onset of the crisis and has been undertaking Herculean efforts to reach out to the
affected areas and people by providing relief and assistance. He emphasized that despite

society and socio-political organizations can make a decisive difference in easing the burden on distressed families.

floods, and said the magnitude of destruction is such that it cannot be addressed by
governmental efforts alone. Hence this requires the collective will of society to stand united with the sufferers, he added.
