Nagrota:DD, Sainik School Nagrota celebrated the 93rd Indian Air Force Day with zeal, solemnity, and patriotic fervor.
The event paid glowing tribute to the valour, sacrifice, and service of the Air Warriors who have safeguarded the nation with distinction.
The commemoration began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the School’s Shaurya Smarak to honour the memory of the fallen heroes.
A special morning assembly was held at the Drill Square where cadets delivered inspiring speeches on the courage and dedication of the Indian Air Force.
Squadron Leader Praveen Kumar, Officiating Principal and Administrative Officer of the school addressed the cadets and staff on the occasion.
He highlighted the ideals of discipline, courage, and patriotism epitomised by the Indian Air Force.
He also paid rich tributes to the supreme sacrifices made by the alumni of the school, including Maj Arvind Bazala, Maj Rohit Kumar and Flt Lt Advitiya Bal.
A documentary on the evolution and role of the Indian Air Force was screened at Lakshay Hall to instill pride and awareness among the cadets.
The day concluded with a special lunch at the Cadets’ Mess, reinforcing unity and camaraderie among cadets and staff.
The celebration reflected the school’s enduring commitment to nurture future leaders of the Armed Forces with the highest standards of discipline, patriotism, and service to the nation.DD
