Srinagar,(DD): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference (JKPC) chief Sajad Lone has sharply criticized the Governor’s address in the J&K Assembly, alleging that it aligns completely with the BJP’s ideology and lacks any meaningful vision for governance.
In a post on social media platform X, Lone expressed disappointment over the absence of references to Article 370, Article 35A, or the events of August 5, 2019, when J&K’s special status was revoked. He accused the National Conference (NC)-led government of abandoning its election rhetoric on Article 370 and displaying an “ideological overlap” with the BJP.
He further criticized the address as lacking any new political, social, or economic initiatives, calling it a mere bureaucratic statement without innovation or vision. “Be prepared for an aimless, visionless spell of governance,” Lone remarked, claiming that bureaucrats, rather than politicians, would continue to dictate administration.
His statement has sparked political reactions, with supporters and critics debating the NC-led government’s stance on key issues in J&K.(DD)
