Sakina Itoo Reviews Amarnath Yatra Arrangements in Pahalgam, Warns Against Delays

Anantnag, (DD)Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Masood Itoo on Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations for the upcoming Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 at Pahalgam, one of the key base camps for the annual pilgrimage.

Accompanied by MLA Pahalgam Altaf Kaloo, Director Health Services Kashmir, and senior officials from various departments, the Minister inspected key infrastructure and logistical arrangements aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the Yatra.

Issuing clear and strict directions, Itoo called for the timely completion of all ongoing works and emphasized the need for seamless inter-departmental coordination.

“There must be no delay or laxity. All departments must work in close coordination to ensure pilgrims face no inconvenience,” she said.

The Minister also directed the Health Department to ensure that Pahalgam Hospital is made fully operational in the coming days to cater to both pilgrims and the local population.

She reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring safety, sanitation, medical services, and all essential amenities for a hassle-free pilgrimage experience.

Commandant BRO (BEACON), Divisional Forest Officer, Traffic Police, Fire & Emergency Services, Social Welfare, Education, Animal Husbandry, and Food Supplies Departments

Officials from Municipal Committees, SRTC, BSNL, and private telecom companies

The review concluded with a call for accountability, urgency, and round-the-clock monitoring of all essential services to ensure the sacred Yatra proceeds without disruption.(DD)
